Risk continues to fall, both because the season has begun to wind down and also because temperatures have been lower than normal. We expect cases to be transmitted in 2 to 3 counties this week. Still, positive mosquito pools have appeared in the past few weeks, and 1 in 10 infections is usually transmitted after this week. The risk of infection is still real and cases will be transmitted, but spraying now has less of an impact than it did in the early season, and it is becoming more effective for individuals to control their exposures to the vector.
